Our Team

Kyle has a depth of intricate cost analysis and financial planning experience. His passion for financial planning began while he was in college taking a personal financial management class. In fact, his whole professional career has been centered on serving clients and fellow team members. He excels at communicating the total financial picture for individuals, couples, and business owners. Outside of work, he loves evening walks with his family.

Kyle was formerly a financial advisor with Horace Mann as well as HarrisMartin Financial in San Antonio, a director with United Services Automobile Association (USAA) in San Antonio and Captain with the United States Air Force in both San Antonio and Dayton, Ohio. In his last position with the Air Force, he managed life cycle budgets and cost estimates for the F-22 aircraft program. Kyle is a Certified Financial Planner™ (CFP®) and holds the following professional licenses – Series 7 and 66 Securities License; Life, Health, and Property & Casualty Insurance License. He has a Masters of Business Administration (MBA) with a concentration in finance from the University of Texas, San Antonio, a Master of Science (MS) with a concentration in cost estimating from the Air Force Institute of Technology, Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, Ohio and is a graduate of the United States Air Force Academy.

Erin graduated from St. Mary's University in San Antonio, Texas, with a BBA in Accounting. She spent her first two years out of college working in public accounting. She decided to move into the private sector using her audit and accounting skills.

She started working for Kyle Martin in 2017 and has kept growing in knowledge of insurance and financial planning. She has become very passionate about financial planning because she sees how it has benefited her and her family.

Outside of work, Erin enjoys spending time with her husband and her three beautiful children. Her faith and family are very important to her. She enjoys playing board games, bike riding and swimming at the YMCA as a family! Community is very important to Erin. She enjoys volunteering with local organizations, her church and being actively involved in her kids' school activities.

Josh Hawkins graduated from Texas A&M University with a BBA in Finance. During his time at A&M, he worked with Kapela performing portfolio analysis and rebalancing client accounts. He enjoys market analysis and researching complex securities, as well as studying international events and their effects on the market. Most of all, Josh enjoys working with clients, and is passionate about growing their financial literacy.

In his free time, Josh enjoys playing guitar, tinkering on anything with an engine, and chasing an adrenaline rush. He is also an avid traveler and takes any opportunity he can to experience someplace new. Family and friends are very important to him, and he enjoys spending time hiking and trying new things with his fiancé and friends.
